Permanent Lighting Power Supplies
Every permanent lighting system stands on its power supply. We stock the Mean Well LRS series — enclosed switching supplies in 350 W, 450 W and 600 W — because installers standardize on them: one proven family, three wattages, each unit shipped in your choice of 12 V or 24 V output at the same price.
Size the supply to the system with headroom to spare. Power injection on long runs draws from the same budget as the first light on the line.
How installers choose
- Wattage — Total up the lights the supply must feed, then leave headroom rather than running a supply at its ceiling.
- Output voltage — Each LRS unit ships as either 12 V or 24 V at the same price. We highly recommend the 24 V system: it needs power injection only about every 50 ft of run, versus about every 30 ft at 12 V.
- Spares on the truck — A spare supply turns a failed-power service call into a same-day fix.
